New sustainable materials and prototypes based on photoproces-ses and their modelling
3 researchers design materials and prototypes using sustainable photoprocesses, specifically researcher 7 prepares biobased coatings; researcher 8 focuses on the photopolymerisation of thick samples and dark areas, researcher 9 develops 3D printed devices leveraging LED-irradiation processes. Researcher 10 develops micro and nanofibers leveraging electrospinning and photocrosslinking process, together with their modelling. Researcher 13 (funded by UKRI) develops new models enabling control of photoprocesses and increasing their efficiency and sustainability. EPFL is associated to the project for expertise in polymer processing at pilot-scale: two additional projects (researcher 11 and 12, funded by SERI) develop bioinspired surfaces and light-responsive foams.
